DIY
The Bahraini House
The problem.
kids nowadays are addicted to video games, the only heritage they know about our country is the holy Eid. What they study in history class is not relevant anymore. Parents try to be engaged in their children's lives but don’t want to play video games all day. They want their children to learn new things and develop other skills and talents.
Motivation.
Since the beginning of quarantine, everyone is feeling bored. People are tired of looking at their phones all day long. People are decorating, making pranks, coming up with new dance moves, and most importantly playing board games.
Target Audience.
Children and adults. All genders (Female /males /other). Age 7+ with parental guidance for children below 12. People interested in crafts or architecture.
The concept.
One of the new trends in board games is DIY miniature rooms. It could be living rooms, cafes, gardens, etc.
All of these rooms are fun to assemble, but I wanted to add depth to this. My country is rich with heritage and culture, from food, fashion to art, and architecture.
The concept is to create a DIY miniature room inspired by the Bahraini Architecture.
A game that can be enjoyed by kids and adults and act as an educational tool for all generations.

Materials & Colours.
Scale.
The size of the house is very small, it is almost the same size of MacBook Pro.

Production sizes.

Prototype.
In order to perfect a game that is very depended on sizes and measurements, it is very important to create simple mockups to try-out the fittings. So I invested a lot of time in making dummy prototypes.
